CACHAÇA LIMEIRA


The Cachaça Limeira is a centenary artisanal Brazilian spirit being produced since 1910 at Limeira Farm, south of Minas Gerais state in Brazil.
It is the first registered cachaça from Brazil.
The distilerry was founded in 1910 by Commander Lindolfo de Souza Dias and it remains until the present days within his descendants.
Besides the production process of Cachaça Limeira has evolved since its creation to accomodate technological improvements and quality control regulations, the centenary original recipe that grants the taste, color and aroma is still preserved, making Cachaça Limeira an unique real brazilian cachaça experience.
To achieve the unique taste,color and aroma, the 'garapa' (the liquid extracted from pressed sugarcane) goes through a completely natural fermentation process, without any external chemical additions.
Once the fermentation process is finished, the Cachaça Limeira is distilled in copper stills. After rigorous quality control, if all laboratorial tests pass, the cachaça is sent to the wooden barrels where it will be aged for a minimun of 4 years*. (may vary from product)
